Estate Planning

Methodology & rigor

Wealth Health Score: composite of 8 personal-finance factors (savings rate, emergency fund coverage, debt-to-income, net worth growth, retirement-on-track, tax efficiency, insurance adequacy, estate readiness). Each factor scored 0-100 with weights set per Vanguard "Roadmap to Financial Wellness" research; deterministic — no LLM in scoring.

FI projection: future-value compounding with Monte Carlo across historical S&P 500 + bond returns. The displayed FI year is the median path; bands at the per-security-page level show 5th / 95th percentiles. Defaults: 7% real equity return, 2% real bond return, 4% safe withdrawal rate (Bengen 1994 / updated Trinity Study).

Limitations: assumes constant savings rate over the projection horizon; ignores Social Security, pension, and lump-sum events unless explicitly entered. Tax estimates use 2024 brackets — re-validate when entering a new tax year. Monte Carlo uses historical returns and may underestimate tail risk (regime breaks).
